Day 1: Bagdogra - Gangtok (about 126 km / 5 hrs.)
Arrival at Bagdogra airport. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo
Vacations representative at the airport and drive to
Gangtok. Overnight
at hotel in Gangtok.
Day 2: Gangtok
Early morning sightseeing of Rumtek Monastery-the principal seat of
Karma pa out of Tibet and the largest one in
Sikkim, and go to
Kanchenjunga View Point, Drul-Chorten , Sikkim Research Institute of
Tibetology, handicraft centers and check in hotel at Gangtok.
Evening Free to explore Gangtok.
Day 3:
Gangtok
- Pemayangtse (about 116 kms / 5 hrs)
After Breakfast we drive from Gangtok to
Pemayangtse via Sikkim Temi
Tea Garden and on the way Ravangla arrive
Pemayantse Check in hotel.
Evening take a pleasant walk enjoying the sun set over Mt.
Khangchendzonga. Stay Overnight at hotel.
Day 4:
Pelling - Yuksom (about 35 Km
/ 02 Hrs)
After breakfast we drive to Yuksom on way visit
Khecheopalri
Lake, Khecheopalri Lake is one of the sacred
Buddhist mountain lake
wherever it is believed that whatever is wished in front of the lake
comes true. Myth has its that when a leaf falls on the placid clear
water surface is picked by a bird. A further drive takes you to
Yuksom (the meeting place of three monks)- the first capital of
Sikkim. This was the place where the first Chogyal (a ruling dynasty
in Sikkim) was crowned. Overnight at Hotel in
Yuksom.
Day 5:
Yuksom
Early morning 35 minutes moderate walk to
Dhubdi Monastery (built in
1700 AD, the oldest monastery of Sikkim) and Tashi Namgyal (the stone
throne for the first king). Overnight at Hotel
in Yuksom.
Day 06:
Yuksom
- Kalimpong (about 85 Kms / 4 Hrs)
After breakfast we drive to Kalimpong. Check in at Hotel. In the evening
we visit the Flower Nurseries, Durpin Dara Hills & Durbin Monastery.
Overnight at Hotel in Kalimpong.
Day 07:
Kalimpong
Today we have sightseeing of Dello hills, Dr. Graham’s Home, Flower
Nurseries, Nature Interpretation Center and Durbin Dara Hills &
Jang-Dong-Palriffo Brang. Overnight at Hotel in Kalimpong.
Day 08
: Kalimpong - Darjeeling (about 70 kms / 3 hrs)
Today we drive to Darjeeling. Overnight at Hotel in
Darjeeling.
Optional: Rafting on the Way.
Day 09:
Darjeeling
Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (at around 4 am) to view sunrise
over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather). On way back visit
Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit to Padmaja Naidu
Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed
on Thursday), Tenzing & Gombu. Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center
(Closed on Sunday) & Tea Estate. Overnight at Hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 10:
Darjeeling - Bagdogra (about 65 kms / 2 hrs)
Early morning we drive to Bagdogra Airport for onwards journey.
