of river Tlawng, and on the north protected by beautiful high
hills of Durtlang and stands like a citadel. It is an ideal
hill station for those looking for some fresh air and
solitude. The Assam Rifles Centre is an important landmark
with the administrative buildings and Raj Bhavan nearby. In
the markets, one can find typical local products for
souvenirs. The best season to visit Aizawl is from October to
May.
