About Heritage on Wheels
The Heritage on Wheels is the 2nd luxury train of Rajasthan, it was designed and developed by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and Indian Railways, after the overall success of the Palace on Wheels.

In the beginning, The Heritage on Wheels runs only in Gujarat and was known as the Royal Oriental Express. Afterwards this train also runs in Rajasthan and was converted to the Heritage on Wheels.

The Heritage on Wheels is a very lavish tourist train which runs through the unexplored areas of Shekhawati and Bikaner in Rajasthan. Shekhawati has a large amount of high quality frescoes. Today, Shekhawati is generally known as 'open-air art gallery of Rajasthan'.

Shekhawati is simply beautiful. Bikaner, the royal fortified city lies in the north of the desert state, and dotted with many sand dunes. Bikaner is bounded by a 7 km long wall with five gates. The wonderful forts and palaces created with gracefulness in reddish-pink, sandstone, is a proof of the historical and architectural legacy of Shekhawati.
