Baijnath is a little lower town than Kausani, located on the banks of the Gomti river in the Garuda Valley. The main attraction of Baijnath is the temple complex. The black stone idol of Parvati in the main temple has been exquisitely worked and is worth visiting place. Here you can pick up a large packet of Channa to feed the fish near the temple and also look out for the large round stone which nine men should lift using only a finger each, just outside the compound. A Kali temple is also located about eight kms. from the main temple, also known as Kot-ki-mai.

For the accommodation, there are various rest houses and small hotels in Baijnath. Among the various rest houses, one of the rest house is the Baijnath Tourist Rest House. This tourist rest house is operated by the Kumaoan Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd. This rest house has about three standard rooms, four deluxe rooms. All the rooms have various other modern facilities.
