Sattal, a group of seven interconnected lakes is set against the backdrop of oak and pine trees beyond which lies the mighty Himalayas. Sattal is located in the Kumaon’s Lake District at the height of 3999 feet, about 23 km from Nainital. You can enjoy holiday in Sattal with trekking, wildlife viewing and adventure sports.

There are two ways of staying at Sattal, either by carrying your own tent and equipments and setting up camp by the lakes or staying at one of the organized campsites. Besides this, a tourist rest house is also available at the Sattal. The Sattal Tourist rest house is operated by the Kumaoan Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd. This rest house has about two deluxe cottages, one super deluxe cottage, one super deluxe room and four deluxe rooms.
