Shyamlatal is located about 30 kms from Tanakpur along the route to Champawat and then 4 km on foot from Sukhidhang or on jeep. Shyamlatal has some ruins which belong to the early Chand rulers and are associated with the Pandavas and as well as for the Vivekanand Ashram. Shyamlatal is famous for its beautiful lake which is spread over an area of 1.5 km.
