Hawa Mahal
is the most famous building in Jaipur which is a part of City Palace
complex. It was built for the ladies of the Harem by Sawai Pratap
Singh and is a five storey frontage standing on a high podium with an
entrance from the West. Hawa Mahal is intricately carved and bordered
with white motives. Motifs and carvings designed on the walls of the
Hawa Mahal are proof of the efforts, dedication and skillfulness of
the artists of that period. Near Hawa Mahal, you have Hawa Mahal
Museum.
Built in
1983, the museum is just situated behind the enchanting Hawa Mahal,
adjoining with Pratap Mandir.
