Accommodation:
Hotel Raheem Residency is
a spacious bungalow with a
large and high ceiling
living room, generous front
and back verandahs and six
en-suite air-conditioned
bedrooms furnished in
rich traditional Kerala
style. The premier room is
Raheem’s Honeymoon Room with
the Kerala style bathroom,
partly open.
Restaurant:
Our main restaurant, Chakara
(plentiful catch of fish),
is in a semi-open space on
an upper floor, looking out
to the Arabian Sea.
For Breakfast, expect
freshly-pressed juice,
tropical fruit platter, a
variety of egg-based dishes
and typical Kerala food like
Dosha/Idly/Puttu and
Oottapam with Sambar &
Chutney.
Lunch is a lighter affair.
Served poolside or in
Chakara, a sandwich of
freshly-poached tuna,
gherkins, egg and home-made
mayonnaise. Stuffed Chapatti
with Aubergine Masala and
for the brave-hearted try
Raheem’s Mini Meals and
Biriyani. At dinner
watch out for healthy,
traditional dishes like
Alleppey Fish Curry; Masala
Prawns; Kerala Chicken
Curry; Vegetable Korma etc.
And you will want try Kerala
Rose Rice – the softest,
most velvety rice in.
Facilities:
There is a massage room for
males and females separately with
the hot shower bathrooms.
These rooms have been refurbished from a myriad of tiny out houses, some of which were used to store
coconut shells in times gone by. There
is also a swimming pool
known as the Apple Pool, named after the Velvet Apple tree in the courtyard.
It is a 14.7 meter pool imported from France.
The tourists can also avail

the local temples, coir
weaving industry and spice
factory, stroll on the sandy
beach, tea with an Indian
