Rohetgarh is a remote, unspoilt and
undiscovered village which is located in the desert region of
Rajasthan. Rohetgarh is about 41 kms from Jodhpur.
Rohetgarh is positioned in the region of Marwar, and expresses a
mystery of loyalty, valour, and battle. Rohetgarh is well-known for its
heritage hotel, Rohet Garh. Some of the local people of Rohetgarh are
the wandering Raika shepherds of Marwar; Bishnois; Paliwals and
Meghwals.
Various migratory and domestic species of birds are found in
Rohetgarh which includes chinkara, blackbuck etc. Common languages
which are spoken here are Rajasthani, English and Hindi. September to
March is the best season to visit this place.

History of Rohetgarh |
Rohetgarh
is a remote city which was the home of the descendants of the 16th
century Rathore of the Champawat clan, Thakur Dalpat Singh I. In 1622
AD, the "Jagir" of Rohet was given to him by the Maharaja of Jodhpur,
to appreciate him for his bravery in a battle. Rohet Garh was
constructed by the generations of various kings, Rohet Garh is the
heritage palace where the aristocratic values of the people are
respected. |

One of the
prominent tourist attractions in Rohetgarh is the Rohet Garh which is
a famous Heritage Hotel in Rajasthan. From the beginning this hotel
was a family home and hospitality is provided to the guest in a very
pleasant way by the members of the erstwhile ruling family. The rooms
of the hotel are elegantly furnished with all modern facilities. The
drawing room has elaborately carved wooden ceiling, old photographs
and traditional lamps.

Jodhpur is easily approachable by rail from Mumbai, Udaipur and Delhi.
