Wildlife in Rajasthan, Ranthambore National Park

India is enriched with magnificent range of wildlife. Conservation and protection of wildlife is still a part of life of the people in India. In India more than 1200 birds and 350 animals as well as thousands of amphibions and reptiles are found in different National Parks and wildlife sanctuaries. Jungle Safari in Rajasthan will take us to Ranthambore National Park. In this tour enjoy the jungle safari and also have an opportunity to get the glimpse of Tiger as Ranthambore National Park have a significant number of Tigers. In this tour you will also visit the Pink City, Jaipur. This tour covers 5 days and 4 nights.

Day 1: Jaipur
In the morning arrive at the Jaipur airport or railway station. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and famous for its handicrafts and precious and semiprecious stones. In the afternoon we visit the City Palace which is still the formal residence of the royal family, built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. In the museum of the city palace we visit the private collection of the Jaipur Maharajas. We continue to Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory, the largest of Jai Singh's five remarkable observatories. Its complex instruments reveals us the secrets of medieval Indian astronomy.

Day 2: Jaipur

After having breakfast we drive to
Amber which is about 11 km from Jaipur. Amber was the ancient capital of Kachhawaha dynasty for 6 centuries before it was moved to newly created Jaipur. We will ascend to the Palace Fortress on the back of an Elephant. Enroute to Amber we visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), built in 1799 AD, it contains 953 small casements with each having its own balcony. The windows enabled cool air to circulate and the ladies to watch processions below without being seen. In the afternoon we have a walk through the colourful Bazaar of Jaipur and visit a factory to see the famous block printing work being done since centuries in Jaipur. In the evening we drive through the new city of Jaipur and visit Laxmi Narayan Mandir, a Hindu temple made out of white marble. We might have an opportunity here to observe a prayer ceremony. Today we have dinner with a presentation of Indian music and dance.

Day 3: Jaipur - Ranthambore (about 195 km / 4 hours)

In the morning after having breakfast drive to Ranthambore. Ranthambore is well known for the Ranthambore National Park.  Ranthambore National Park is surrounded by the Vindhyas and the Aravali mountains and covers an area of 392 square km. Upon arrival, rest of the day at leisure. 

Day 4: Ranthambore

In the early morning we have a jungle ride in the Ranthambore National park. Ranthambore National Park is a well known tiger reserve under Project Tiger. This national park is the home of a vast variety of animals. The Tiger remains the biggest attraction of the Ranthambore National Park. If we are lucky enough today we might have an audience with the Tiger which are numerous in this park. In this park we will view other animals like Sambhar, Cheetal, Wild Boar, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Jackal and Hyena.

Day 5: Ranthambore - Jaipur (about 195 km / 4 hours)

After having breakfast drive to Jaipur. Transfer to the airport or railway station for your onwards journey.
