Calcutta (Kolkatta). This club is today the oldest golf clubs in the
world outside the United Kingdom. The Maharajas (powerful Indian Kings)
took over the new sports with great friends and enthusiasm and in the
colonial period, the Indian upper class played golf as a status
symbol. India has also produced some excellent golfers. What golf in

01. Flight to India (Mumbai)
Arrival in Mumbai
(formerly Bombay). The cosmopolitan City and capital of the state of
Maharashtra. Our staff awaits you at the airport. Transfer to the
hotel.

Sightseeing Point: (Gateway of India. *City Museum. Chhatrapati
Shivaji Terminus (alter Bahnof), St. Thomas Cathedral. *Marine Drive
Flyover. * Rajabai Tower. *Mumbai University. * High Court. * Oval
Maidan. *A Prominent Temple.

Day 03. To 05. - Golf in Bombay
For 3 days 70 par, 40 acres of golf is here in the most beautiful
"Greens" square from the Presidency Golf Club of Bombay with 18 holes
played. This golf club was founded in 1827 by the British.
Day 06. Mumbai - Bangalore (by air)
In the morning flight to Banglore.
With Bangalore, the state capital of Karnataka is waiting for us in
the afternoon one of the most modern cities of South India. Many
computer companies have given the city the nickname "Computer City"
introduced. We visit Tipu's Fort and the temple of the Nandi bull.
Day 07. To 09 - Golf in Bangalore
You play for 3 days of golf on a golf course, which was founded in
1876. The course has 71 par, 18 holes and 6,650 yards. |

Day
10. Bangalore - Hassan (about 250 km / 5 hours) Excursion we visit
Belur and Halebid
Today we drive to Hassan. Excursion we visit
Belur and
Halebid temple complex belonging
to the 12th and 14th century. The temples at Belur and Halebid were
built by the Hoysala kings. The wealth of sculptural details found on
the exterior and interior of these temples at Halebid and Belur makes
them the most outstanding example of Hoysala art sculpture. In Halebid
we visit the Hoysalesvara Temple of 12th century where we view the
half-life size statues of Hindu deities, with minute details of each,
all around the temple. After the visit of Halebid we proceed to Belur.
In Belur we visit the group of Chennakesava Temples. These temples are
famous for their architecture and sculptures.
Day 11. Hassan - Sravana Belagola - Mysore (about 165 km / 4 hours)
Ride over Sravanabelgola (Bes.
The colossal statue) to Mysore. Once there we drive to Chamundi Hill,
where we await the famous granite sculpture of Nandi bull and a
magnificent view of Mysore.
Day 12. Mysore
After having breakfast we visit the Mysore Palace. This palace is one
of the most impressive and one of the largest city palaces in India.
This beautiful Indo-Saracenic palace was built in the 1911-12 at the
cost of 4.2 million rupees to replace the former Palace which was
burnt down. In the afternoon we drive to the village of Somnathapur
(33 km) to visit the intricately carved star shaped Prasanna
Channakeshara Temple built in 1268 AD during the Hoysala Dynasty. In
the evening we drive to the Chamundi Hill to visit the Chamundeshwari
Temple, huge in structure with a seven storey Gopuram, 40 meters high.
On the way up to the hill we visit the famous Nandi (Shiva's Bull)
carved out of solid rock and about five meters high. |

Day 13. Mysore - Ooty (about 155 km / 3 hours)
Today we drive over serpentines roads through tea plantations and
eucalyptus forests in the mountains of the Nilgiris. The route via the
"Blue Mountains" leads us directly into the small, situated at 2300 m
altitude mountain town of Ooty (Ootacamund).
With a leisurely stroll through the picturesque town we end the day.
Day 14. To .15 - Golf in Ooty
Ooty was very popular with the British because the British have
enjoyed at an altitude of 2,400 pleasant temperatures. Ooty has a golf
course, which was founded in 1896. This golf course has 70 par, 18
holes and 6,674 yards in beautiful surroundings.
Day 16. Ooty - Cochin (about 280 km / 6 hours)
Today drive to Cochin. In the
history-rich city on the Malabar coast we visit the St. Francis
Church, the oldest European church in India in which is the tomb of
the famous sailor Vasco da Gama.
Then a walk through the Jewish quarter is Mattancherry on the program.
Day
17. Cochin
Today the town of Cochin is divided in different parts namely, Fort
Cochin, Willington Island, Ernakulam, Bolghatty Island and Vypeen
Island. Most of the historic buildings are in Fort Cochin. We have
whole day today at leisure so that we can explore Cochin on our own.
In the late afternoon we visit a
Kathakali dance school.
Kathakali dances originate from Kerala and in its traditional form
relates stories from the Hindu epics
Ramayana and
Mahabharata.

Day 18.
Cochin - Bombay (flight)
The morning is free - opportunity for swimming. In the afternoon we go
to Bombay. Arrival and transfer to the hotel in the airport. Depending
on your flight connection you will be taken to the airport by our
representative.
