An exciting drive from Leh, following the magnificent Indus
and Zanskar rivers, leads to Chilling Village which is one of
the biggest villages (with about 30 families) in Hemis
National Park. This beautiful village lies at the beginning of
the Markha valley trekking route, and has several hikers pass
through on their advanced journey. It is the only village in
Ladakh that has provided metal works such as copper, silver ,
iron, tin and bronze to the Leh market through the centuries. |
