Chemathang is situated about 8 km from Thangsing in West
Sikkim District. It lies at an elevation of about 4,800 m, on
the Goecha Pass trek route. High altitude birds and blue
sheeps are found here. Chemathang is enclosed by thick bushes.
Pelling, Samiti Lake, Dzongri and Bakhim are nearby attractive
destinations. The whole region commands panoramic views of
high cliffs and deep valleys.
