Kuttikanam
Kuttikanam is a place for adventure, trekking, and
langourous, tranquil break. This picturesque plantation town,
washed in the fragrance of cardamom is surrounded by the lush,
green hills.
Thrissanku Hills
The Thrissanku hills are located about 4 km from Peermede.
The rolling hills, lovely landscape and the gentle breeze make
the Thrissanku hills an ideal spot for long walks. These hills
offer a breathtaking view of the sunrise and sunset. |

Peeru Hills |
Peeru Hills, the idyllic hill station is a favourite place of
trekkers and picnickers. This hill is named after Peer Mohammed,
the Sufi saint, who spent his last days here. The mausoleum of
the saint, the summer palace of the royal family and the
residence of the Dewan situated nearby are worth visiting places
in Peeru Hills. |

Grampi |
Grampi, also known as Parunthupara (eagle rock) is situated
about 5 kms. from Peermede. It is known so due to the panoramic
view from its high peaks. Rocky plains, lush hillsides, forests,
trekking trails and picturesque views provide charm to this
destination. The road to Grampi is flanked by the unending
stretches of cardamom, tea and coffee plantations. |
|
|
Pattumala |
Pattumala literally means the hill draped in silk. Lofty peaks,
little streams and ever expanding tea plantations are the major
attractions of this place. Pattumala is home to the two most
famous tea plantations - Harrisons Malayalam and AV Thomas & Co.
The Velamkanni Matha Church, built entirely of granite, at the
top of the hill is a famous pilgrimage centre. The flower garden
nearby is a fascinating riot of colours, of roses, orchids and
anthurium. |

|
Vagamon |
Grass covered hills, velvet lawns and the cool mountains make
Vagamon a perfect holiday retreat. This hillside village is a
curious blend of religious mysticism and European legacies, and
a heaven of tranquility. The chain of three hills such as
Thangal hills, Murugan Hills and Kurisumala marks the religious
harmony. The dairy farm managed by the Kurisumala monks is a
worth visiting place in Vagamon. |
