Day 04: Sigiriya/Dambulla - Kandy

After breakfast leave for Kandy. En route to Kandy visit a spice
garden at Matale to learn about spices and their use in Sri Lankan
cuisines.
Later on visit a batik factory, Batik is for the uninitiated cloth
material painted with a pattern or picture which can be used for table
cloths, table mats, sheets, clothes, wall decorations etc. Explore
there how the batiks are made and the various stages of Batik
development.
In the evening visit Temple of Tooth Relic then enjoy a cultural show.
Stay overnight in Kandy.
Day 05: Kandy
Breakfast
at hotel and visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawela, established in
1975, commenced with seven orphans. Today some of these orphans enjoy
the fortune of seeing their grandchildren born in the same location.
Later on return to Kandy, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at
Peradeniya. In the afternoon make a city tour of Kandy, visit the
upper lake, an arts and crafts work shop, oriental market place, a
bazaar and a gem lapidary where you can see how rough gems
(particularly the famous Blue & Star sapphires) are mined cut and
polished using traditional methods.

Day 06: Kandy - Nuwara eliya

Breakfast
at the hotel. Proceed to Nuwara eliya, known as “Little England”. En
route see the mountains covered with tea bushes and cascading
waterfalls. Visit a tea factory and a plantation to see the tea
manufacturing process. Enjoy a freshly brewed cup of “Ceylon Tea”.
Evening make a city tour of Nuwara Eliya.
Overnight stay in Nuwara eliya.
Day 07: Nuwara eliya
Enjoy your
breakfast in the misty climate of the hill country. Day at leisure to
explore Nuwara Eliya by yourself.
Stay overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 08: Nuwara eliya - Tissa / Kataragama

hours)
Enjoy your
breakfast in the misty climate of the hill country and leave for Tissa.
En route stop at Bandarawela and at Ella gap, enjoy the rich nature.
Afternoon enjoy a jeep safari at Yala national park to see the wild
life. Yala is the largest in Sri Lanka and is home to wild elephants,
wild boars, wild buffaloes, leopards, bears, deer and crocodiles.
Large flocks of migratory and indigenous birds are also found here.
Stay overnight in Tissa / Kataragama.
Day 09: Tissa/ Yala
Breakfast
at hotel. Day by leisure. Stay overnight in Tissa/ Yala.
Day 10: Tissa / Kataragama - south / west coast
Start the
day with a visit to well-known Hindu Temple at Kataragama. Breakfast
at the hotel. Later leave for the beach resort. Travel through
Tangalle and Matara. En route at Koggala see the stilt fishermen
seated on poles mounted.
In Galle visit the Dutch fort. In Hikkaduwa make a tour in a glass
bottom boat to see the impressive underwater corals. Visit a Turtle
Hatchery.
Overnight stay in your beach resort in south / west coast.
Day 11: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
