Chaukori is a small hill station in the Pithoragarh district,
it lies among the lofty peaks of the western Himalayan Range
in the Kumaon Division of Uttarakhand, India to the north is
Tibet and to the south is Terai. Chaukori is on the edge of
the Himalayas with great views all around. The Mahakali River,
running along its eastern boundary, forms the Indo-Nepal
international border. Chaukori is located at an altitude is
2010 m above the sea level and 173 kms away from Nainital with
an amazing view of the snowy peaks of Nanda Kot and Nanda
Devi. It is about 10 km from Berinag which is another little
hill station.
