Day
01. Flight to India (Delhi)
Around Midnight arrival in Delhi.
The cosmopolitan City and capital Delhi is the main gateway for
travelers. You are met by an Indo Vacations representative and
transferred to your Hotel.
Day
02. Delhi – Amritsar (by air)
Flight to Amritsar. Arrival in
Amritsar pickup from airport and transfer to Hotel. This evening enjoy
a visit to the Golden Temple to see the worship.
Day 03. Amritsar
After breakfast at the hotel, start your city tour with the blessings
of Golden Temple, the most important Sikh Shrine. Visit Jallianwala
Bagh, Maharaja Ranjit singh Museum. In the evening visit Wagah Border
(India Pakistan Border) for retreat ceremony where Indian and
Pakistani Soldiers perform parade together. Transfer to hotel.
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04. Amritsar - Chandigarh (about 240 km / 5 hours)
In the morning after having breakfast we will drive to
Chandigarh. Chandigarh, derives its
name from the Chandi Mandir temple located in the vicinity of the city
and a fort or ‘garh" beyond the temple, called Chandigarh. Chandigarh
is a Union Territory, administered by the Government of India. The
city was designed by Le Corbusier. In the evening arrive in Chandigarh
and transfer to the hotel.
Day 05. Chandigarh
In the morning we have sightseeing in Chandigarh. Today we visit the
Rock Garden. This garden was completed by Nekchand. This garden was
built with multicoloured fragments of China and waste ceramics and
covers an area of 6 acres. Along the way we visit the Secretariat and
the Art Museum. In the evening we visit the Gulab Bagh and the Sukhna
Lake. This lake covers an area of 3 square kms. The people take breezy
walks along the banks of this artificial lake and there is provision
for boating and yachting.

Day 06. Chandigarh - Haridwar (about 210 km / 4-5 hours)
Today we drive to Haridwar and On
arrival you will transfer to your Hotel. Visit Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga
Aarti in evening. Back to your hotel, Night halt.
Day 07. Haridwar - Rishikesh (about 25 km)
Today is a trip to Rishikesh
planned (25 km). Rishikesh is a holy place for the Hindus and is known
for meditation centers and yoga ashrams. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.
Day 08. Rishikesh - Delhi (about 235 km / 5 hours)
Today we drive to Delhi. Arrival in
Delhi and transfer to Hotel.
Day 09. Delhi - Bhubaneshwar (by air)
In the morning flight to
Bhubaneshwar. Bhubaneshwar (The Lord of the universe) is now
the modern capital city of the Indian State Orissa. Bhubaheshwar had
once 7000 temples which were built between 8th and 13th centuries. In
the afternoon we visit some of the finest examples of the classical
temple architecture
including Lingraj, Rajrani and Mukteshwar temples.

Day 10. Bhubaneshwar - Konark - Puri (about 70 km)
Today we drive through the tropical coastal area to the famous Temples
of Konark. Konark was once the
centre of Buddhism in India is today
famous for the Hindu temples. The world famous Surya Temple which was
dedicated to God Surya (sun) was build in the 13th century. Surya
temple of Konark represents the complete development of Orissian style
and architecture which is only one time example in India being the
most beautiful without any counter piece. In the afternoon we drive to
Puri. Puri is considered the most sacred city in
Orissa. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 11. Puri
Puri is one of the four most
important pilgrimage centres for Hindus. The temple of Jagannath (God
Vishnu), who is considered the preserver of the world in
Hinduism, attracts thousands on feast
every day, particularly at the time of
‘Rath Yatra’ (the car
festival). The Jagannath temple is also referred as the white Pagoda
and it accommodates 5000 priests in its premises. It’s an experience
to observe the activities of the pilgrims visiting this unique temple.
In the afternoon we drive to Puri where we have a break and relax. The
beaches of Puri are considered among the best in India.
Day 12. Puri
The beaches of Puri are considered among the best in India. Today we
visit the Puri beach after having our breakfast. Puri Beach is also
known as one of India's finest beaches. Puri Beach attracts millions
of travellers to India with its strategic setting and religious
importance whereas the beach lovers love holidaying in Puri beach.
Puri affords an exciting haunting opportunity with its wild sea waves
and widespread waters. Puri Beach is an exciting place for viewing
romantic sunsets and sunrises. We can easily locate scores of hatted
fishermen navigating the tourists through the magnificent breakers
rolling from the Bay of Bengal. The beach is also an ideal place to
watch dance and music festival that is held every year at Puri Beach.
We spent whole day at Puri beach.
Day 13. Puri - Bhubaneshwar (about 70 km) - Kolkata (by air)
In the early morning drive from Puri to Bhubaneshwar. We fly from
Bhubaneshwar to Kolkata
(formerly Calcutta). Transfer to the hotel in Kolkata. The rest of the
day at leisure. |

Day 14. Kolkata
Kolkata is India’s largest city and one of the biggest city in south
Asia. This city was one of the earliest colonial city of British in
India. Today we explore this vibrant and lively city during the whole
day tour. We visit the Victoria Memorial and magnificent buildings in
the area of Chowringhee and Dalhousie Square. We also visit the
Jain-Temple and the Fort Williams. In the area of Joransanko we have
the opportunity to visit the family house of the famous Indian writer
Rabindranath Tagore.
Day 15. Kolkata - Mumbai (by air)
Today having breakfast transfer to the airport for the flight to
Mumbai. Upon arrival, you will be
met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure. After having dinner drive to the airport.
Day 16. Mumbai
Today we embark on a city tour highlights include the Prince of Wales
Museum, Gateway of India and Marine drive. Major highlight of the day
is a visit to the cave temples of
Elephanta Island sculpted during the 5th to the 8th centuries.
On our evening tour learn all about the cottage industries of the
Dharavi Slum, home to an Estimated 5000 businesses across 15,000 small
area factories. To ensure our visit benefits the community, we ask
that you buy pencils and colouring books to give to the local

Day 17. Mumbai - Hubli (by air) Hubli - Hampi (about 165 Km / 3-4)
Today having breakfast and transfer to airport for flight to Hubli.
Arrival in Hubli pickup from airport and transfer to
Hampi. Hampi was once the seat of
the great Vijayanagara empire and the centre of Hindu rule for 200
years from its foundation in 1336. In the evening we reach Hampi.
Evening free for leisure.
Day 18. Hampi
Today we visit the temples, palaces, markets and some of the ruins of
the Vijaynagar city in Hampi. The Vijayanagar city ruins near the
village of Hampi are one of the most fascinating historical sites in
south India. The superb ruins are set in a beautiful landscape, a hill
country with enormous boulders. Extremely wealthy, greater than Rome,
they held a monopoly of trade in spices and cotton. This site was
chosen for strategic reasons, but the craftsmen excelled in adopting
an indigenous style to blend in architectural masterpieces with the
barren and rocky landscapes. Most of the sites belong to the 16th
century and were built during the 20 year reign of Krishna deva Raya. |

Day 19. Hampi - Hubli (about 165 Km / 3 - 4) Hubli - Mumbai (by
air)
Today we have breakfast and drive to Hubli. Arrival in Hubli transfer
to airport for flight to Mumbai. Arrival in Mumbai pickup from airport
and transfer to Hotel
Day 20. Flight to home
transfer to airport for flight to home destination.
