Day 01: Kathmandu

Around midnight arrival in Nepal. The cosmopolitan city and the capital Kathmandu is the main gateway for travellers to Nepal. Kathmandu Valley is the cultural and political heart of the country. Upon arrival, you are met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the Hotel.


Day 02: Kathmandu
In the morning we start our sightseeing by visiting Durbar Square. Durbar Square is the spiritual heart of Kathmandu. The old royal palace at the centre of the city was surrounded by temples and other important buildings. This is the most important point in Kathmandu to see the culture and religion of Nepal. After visiting Durbar square we visit Swayambhunath. The stupa at Swayambhunath is the most important and oldest site of Buddhist worship in Nepal. Swayambhunath Stupa is famous for the eyes of Buddha which seem to observing the world from all 4 directions. After Swayambhunath we visit Bodhnath. Bodhnath is the largest Stupa of Nepal. Around the octagonal base of Stupa there are 108 images of Buddha where prayer ceremonies of Buddhist Lamas are taking place since over 2000 years.

Day 03: Kathmandu - Charaundi - Kurintar
After having breakfast we drive to Charaundi, the starting point of the river rafting and start 2 days rafting on the Trisuli river. This river is one of the most famous areas in Nepal to go for white water rafting. In the evening we will cover the first section, involving a series of rapids and after a journey of three hours we reach a beautiful beach in a bend of the river. At the end of the river rafting we will have a camp on the bank of the river.

Day 04: Kurintar - Pokhara
After having breakfast we continue our white water rafting down the river. The navigation will take us about 7 to 8 hours. We will find series of rapids together with long sections of quiet water, where we will have the time to enjoy viewing the beautiful cliffs and scattered villages along the banks. In the afternoon we will end our rafting at Munglin and drive to Pokhara. On arrival at Pokhara transfer to the Hotel.

Day 05: Pokhara - Kalikasthan
After having breakfast we drive to Kahun Khola and then have a 10 minute walk through the paddy fields. After crossing the Biyapur river we climb the Kandani Hill. From this point, one can view the the spectacular view of the Pokhara Valley, Mt. Annapurna, Lamjung Himal, and the Mt. Machhapuchhre very clearly. After having lunch we trek for about 2 hrs. and reach Kalikasthan camp. From the camp all the above mountains can be seen very clearly.

Day 06: Kalikasthan - Shaklung

In the early morning we will view the sunrise from there. The sunrise is very magnificent as the pink day of the rising sun paints the majestic Himalayan peaks from faint pink to amber then to burning gold. After breakfast, you will trek through beautiful Gurung villages with the most colourful views of Machhapuchhre, different peaks of Annapurna, Lamjung, Manasalu etc.  After lunch the trail leads uphill through the forest for about three and half-hours and you will reach Libiyani in the evening.

Day 07: Shaklung - Begnas

After breakfast, we will ascend through the beautiful forest to Bhatti village. After having lunch at Bhatti village, you will trek towards to Begnas Tal or Begnas Lake (3000 ft.) for an overnight camp. The Begnas lake is the biggest lake in the Pokhara valley with beautiful surrounding. We can have a walk here and see the life in the villages of Himalayas.

Day 08: Begnas Tal - Pokhara

Today you will have a trekking till Begnas Bazaar from where you will drive to Pokhara. In the evening arrive in Pokhara.

Day 09: Pokhara - Chitwan national Park
Today we drive to the Royal Chitwan National park. This National Park is situated near the Indian Nepal border. The area of the National Park covers around 950 square km. The Chitwan National park is the natural habitat of the Tiger, great one-horned Indian rhinoceros, leopard, gaur, sloth and wild bear, sambar. We have our overnight stay in a comfortable Lodge in the National Park.

In the early morning you will have a jungle safari in the Chitwan National Park penetrating through lush grasslands to view wildlife. This grass is commonly known as elephant grass and is very dense and grows to a height of 18-20 ft. In the afternoon we take a ride in Canoe on the Narayani river where there are very good chances of viewing the gharial crocodiles as well as the mugger crocodiles, fresh water dolphins, Otters and varieties of water birds. If you are lucky, you may see the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger on an elephant safari.

Day 11: Chitwan National Park - Kathmandu

In the morning we drive to Kathmandu. In the afternoon we drive to Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is the Kathmandu valley's most medieval city and the third biggest city of the valley. This city is situated about 13 kilometers east of Kathmandu and was one of the three kingdoms of the Mallas. Bhaktapur has preserved it's medieval character better than Patan. In Bhaktapur we visit the golden Door, the palace of 55 windows (15th century) and Pagoda Nyatapola (18th century). In the evening we drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 12: Kathmandu
Transfer to the airport to connect the flight for onwards journey.
