Day
01: Flight
to Nepal (Kathmandu)
Around Midnight arrival in
Nepal. The cosmopolitan city and
the capital Kathmandu is the main gateway for travellers to
Nepal. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and
transferred to the hotel.
Kathmandu Valley is the cultural
and political heart of the country. The city enjoyed its most
glorious time under the reign of Mallas in the 16th and 17th
century.
Day
02: Kathmandu
In the morning we start our sightseeing by visiting Durbar
Square. Durbar Square is the spiritual heart of Kathmandu.
This is the most important point in Kathmandu to see the culture
and religion of Nepal. We also visit the temple of living
goddess Kumari. After Durbar Square we visit Swayambhunath.
The stupa at Swayambhunath is the most important and oldest
site of Buddhist worship in Nepal. It is famous for the eyes
of Buddha that seem to observing the world from all 4 directions.
After Swayambhunath we visit Bodhnath.
Bodhnath is the largest
Stupa of Nepal. Around the octagonal base of Stupa there are
108 images of Buddha where prayer ceremonies of Buddhist Lamas
are taking place since over 2000 years.
Day
03: Kathmandu
Today we will drive to Patan.
Patan was the second largest
town in the valley but it has been absorbed into Kathmandu.
Patan was previously known as Lalitpur (the beautiful city).
The famous King Ashoka built the Stupas at four corners in
the 250 BC. The temple architecture here gave this city fame
to be unique and most beautiful. After Patan we proceed to
Bhaktapur, the third biggest city of the valley.
Bhaktapur
has preserved its medieval character better than Patan. We
visit the golden Door, the Palace of 55 windows (15th century)
and Pagoda Nyatapola (18th century).
Day 04: Kathmandu
- Phulchowki Danra - Kathmandu
Today we start our bird watching tour in Kathmandu with a
visit to Phulchowki Danra, the highest of the hill encircling
the valley. On the way we will stop beside the Trisuli River
where we will look out for Kingfisher. Today whole day we
will watch the birds in Phulchowki and later we will drive
back to the hotel in Kathmandu.

05: Kathmandu
- Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve - Kathmandu
Today we will drive further to visit
Koshi Tappu Wildlife
Reserve. This wildlife reserve lies in eastern part of Nepal.
The reserve provides the best adventure of spotting hundreds
of rare species of birds and fresh water dolphins. Today whole day we
will watch the birds in the reserve and later we will drive
back to the hotel in Kathmandu.

06: Kathmandu
- Pokhara
In the morning after having breakfast we will drive to
Pokhara.
Pokhara is the gateway to
Himalaya. The Pokhara valley is
the second biggest valley in the central hilly region of Nepal
after Kathmandu. Pokhara is situated at an altitude of just
900 m on the Seti Khola River and is overshadowed by one of
the most beautiful mountains of the world.
Day 07: Pokhara
- Chitwan National Park
Today we leave the world of mountains and drive to the south
of Nepal to the Royal Chitwan National Park. This National
Park is situated near the Indian Nepal border. The area of
the National Park covers around 950 square km. The Chitwan
National park is the natural habitat of the Tiger, great one-horned
Indian Rhinoceros, Leopard, Gaur, Sloth Bear, Wild Bear and
Sambars. We have our overnight stay in a comfortable lodge
in the National Park.

08: Chitwan
National Park - Bardia National Park
Today we will drive to Royal Bardia National Park. This park
is the largest and most undisturbed wild area of the Terai
region of the Nepal Himalayas. Bardia was a royal hunting
reserve of Nepal's Rana rulers from 1846 to 1950. Bardia was
declared a wildlife reserve in 1976. Bardia National Park
is special due to the presence of one of the last known herds
of wild elephants in South Asia. Various other animals found
in this region are Chital or Spotted Deer, Hog Deer, Sambhar,
Swamp Deer, Barasingha, Gaur, Wild Boar, Sloth Bear, Nilgai
and Himalayan Tahr, Langur, Rhesus Macaque, Jackal, Yellow-throated
Marten, Mongoose and Indian Otter. Birds are the park's most
conspicuous fauna with over 300 resident and migratory species.
Day 09: Bardia
National Park - Daman
Today we leave Bardia National Park and drive to the city
Daman. Daman is situated around 2400 m and gives us a fantastic
view of the Himalayan range. If the weather is clear we will
enjoy the panorama from Dhulgiri in extreme west to the
Mount
Everest in extreme east.
Day
10: Daman
- Kathmandu
Today we leave Daman and drive to Kathmandu. On the way we
pass through the villages and small localities and then drive
further to visit Dakshinkali. The temple of
Dakshinkali is
a place of pilgrimage for
Hindus where still animal sacrifices
for the goddess Kali are performed. In the evening we have
enough time today to discover the coloured bazaar of Kathmandu.
After the dinner we leave the airport with the Indo Vacations
representative.
Day 11: Kathmandu
Around midnight flight to home destination.
