Vantawng Water Falls
Vantawng Water falls are located about 137 kms from Aizawl. These water falls are the largest, highest and most magnificent falls in Mizoram, and surrounded by a lush forest teeming with bamboo groves. The waterfall is 750 feet high. This is a place of awe-inspiring beauty.

Palak Lake
The Palak Lake is situated in an accessible area in the south of the state. Palak Lake is the most beautiful lake in the world. It is an abode of aquatic birds with wild duck of different species. Fish and crab are found in the lake in an area of 30 hectares. Bear, tiger, deer, wild pig and other fauna are found in the forest surrounding the lake.

Phawngui, Mizoram

Phawngui
"Phawngui" or the Blue Mountain, is the highest mountain peak in Mizoram. The Blue Mountain is considered as the abode of gods to whom annual sacrifices are offered. On the peak, there is a level ground about 200 hectares which is surrounded by matted bamboo groves, bewutiful trees, rare flora species, orchids and rhododendrons which have survived owing to the isolation of the mountain. There are breathtaking views of the blue hazed hills and vales.

 

Champhai
Champhai is a bustling commercial town, about 192 kms from Aizawl. Champai is a good base for trekkers, especially in the spring season. The rhododendrons in the surrounding hills are particularly beautiful. Champai offers a beautiful view of the Myanmar hills. Ruantlang, about 5 kms away from Champhai is the traditional village of Mizos. The age old traditional Mizo way of life is still preserved here.

Lunglei
Lunglei, about 235 kms from Aizawl is the district headquarters and the second largest town in Mizoram. It is a good place for visiting the interiors of south Mizoram. At Demmagiri, to its west, is the beautiful valley of the river Karbafuli. The Buddha's image near Mualchung village was found near Lunglei town. On either side of the image, there are engravings of dancing girls.

Mizoram State Museum
Mizoram State Museum is located in the centre of the town. This small and interesting museum gives a good insight into Mizo traditions, culture and history. The variety of objects are exhibited here which are not usually found elsewhere.

Pukzing Cave
Pukzing Cave about 25-km wide is the biggest cave said to have been carved out using a hairpin by a sturdy man called "Mualzavata".

 
Tamdil Lake, Mizoram

Tamdil Lake
Tamdil Lake is located about 60 kms from Aizawl. Tamdil lake is the largest lake in Mizoram. It is also a fish farm, a picnic spot and a get-away place whose serenity and views of the surrounding hills are reputed. Tamdil Lake is another abode of aquatic fauna consisting of fish and prawns and wild life in the enclosing jungle.

Phulpul Grave
Phulpul Grave consists of two graves to which visitors are attracted because of the legends linked with them.
