Day
01. Arrival in Nepal (Kathmandu)
Arrival in Nepal. The cosmopolitan City and the
capital
Kathmandu
is the main gateway for travellers to Nepal. You are met by an Indo
Vacations representative and transferred to your Hotel. Rest of the
day free for leisure.
Day 02.Kathmandu Excursion: Patan, Swayambunath
Today we
drive to Patan. Patan was the second largest town in the valley but
it has been absorbed into Kathmandu. Patan was previously known as
Lalitpur (the beautiful city). The temple architecture here gave
this city fame to be unique and most beautiful. In the afternoon we
visit Durbar Square. Durbar Square is the spiritual heart of
Kathmandu. The old royal palace at the centre of the city was
surrounded by temples and other important buildings. This is the
most important point in Kathmandu to observe the culture and
religion of Nepal. A visit of the temple of living godess Kumari is
also a part of our today's Programme. After the visit of Durbar
Square we proceed to visit Swayambhunath. The stupa at Swayambhunath
is the most important and oldest site of Buddhist worship in Nepal.
Swayambhunath Stupa is famous for the eyes of Buddha which seem to
observing the world from all 4 directions.
Day 03. Kathmandu Excursion:
Bhaktapur, Pashupatinath, Bodnath
Today we drive to Bhaktapur, the third biggest city of the valley.
Bhaktapur has preserved it's medieval character better than Patan.
We visit the golden Door, the Palace of 55 windows (15th century)
and Pagoda Nyatapola (18th century). In the afternoon we visit
the temple city of Pashupatinath which is Nepal's most
important Hindu pilgrim site on the banks of the
Bagmati river. The temple of Pashupatinath is
dedicated to god Shiva. Pashupatinath is one of the
seven most important holy cities to Hindus. After the
visit of Pashupatinath we visit Bodnath.
Bodnath is
the largest Stupa of Nepal. Around the octagonal base
of Stupa there are 108 images of Buddha where prayer
ceremonies of Buddhist Lamas are taking place since
over 2000 years.
Day 04. Kathmandu - Chitwan National Park (about 194 kms)
Today we
leave the world of mountains and drive to the south of Nepal to the
Royal Chitwan National park. This National Park is situated near the
Indian Nepal border. The area of the National Park covers around 950
square km. The Chitwan National park
is the natural habitat of the Tiger, great one-horned Indian
rhinoceros, leopard, gaur, sloth and wild bear, sambar. We have our
overnight stay in a comfortable Lodge in the National Park.
Day 05.
Chitwan National Park
We take the best possibility to explore the National Park on the
back of elephants. In the early morning there are more than 450
different bird species who make this National Park full of life. In
the afternoon we take a ride in Canoe on the Naryani river and after
than get on to jeeps to explore the park more intensively in the
accompany of a forest officer.
Day 06.
Chitwan National Park - Bandipur (about 04 hours)
After breakfast we drive from Chitwan National Park to
Bandipur .In
the afternoon we visit the area of Bandipur.
Day 07. Bandipur - Pokhara (about
74 kms)
This
morning we explore the area of Bandipur again and then drive to
Pokhara . In the afternoon we have a boat trip on Phewa Lake.
Day 08.
Pokhara
Early
morning sunrise tour to Sarangkot direction (if the weather
permits). After a walk of about 40 minutes, we reach the top
of Sarangkot. After Sarangkot in the afternoon we visit Rupatal.
Day 09. Pokhara
Today the whole day is at leisure.
Day 10.
Pokhara - Kathmandu (by air)
A short flight of about 30 minutes takes you to Kathmandu. Today we
visit the Old City or the market of Thamel.
Day 11.
Kathmandu
Today, two opportunities (Optional)
Option 01:
Himalayan
scenic flight costs, currently about $ 160 per person including
airport transfer tomorrow (highest mountains in the world).
Option 02: Drive from Kathmandu to
Changunarayan. About 3 hour
trekking to Inge Telkot where our vehicle will pick you up and drive
to Nagarkot. Here you experience the famous sunset and then drive
back to Kathmandu.
Day 12.
Kathamndu (Excursion: Dakshinkali, Kirtipur and Chovar) / Airport
transfer
Today morning we drive to Dakshinkali,
Kirtipur and Chovar. In the
afternoon, depending on your departure time, transfer from the hotel
to the airport for onwards journey.
