Day 01: Delhi (Arrival)
Around midnight arrival in Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be
met by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
Today you will have sightseeing in Delhi. Sightseeing of Delhi
includes Rajghat, Jama Masjid, Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar.
Before you proceed to the Hotel you will drive through New
Delhi where you will see the India Gate, Government Buildings
and Embassies.
Day 03: Delhi - Manali
In the morning after breakfast drive to Manali. Manali is
situated near the end of the valley on the National Highway
leading to Leh. The landscape here is breathtaking and you can
view the well-defined snowcapped peaks and wooded slopes. It
is an excellent place for a holiday, a favorite resort for
trekkers to various regions in Kashmir valley. It is known as
the Switzerland of India. Upon arrival, you will drive to the
hotel.
Day 04: Manali - Marrhi (about 36 km)
Today you will begin your trekking from Manali. From Manali
you will trek towards Rallah Falls. You will have lunch at
Kothi. Then you will trek towards Marrhi. Arrive in Marrhi by
evening. You will spend night in Marrhi.
Day 05: Marrhi - Chhatru
Today in the morning after having breakfast you will leave
Marrhi. From Marrhi you will trek towards Gondla. You will
also cross Rohtang Pass, which is situated at a height of 3980
m. Rohtang Pass is an adventurer's dream destination, situated
at an altitude of about 4000 m. This pass is the gateway to
the Lahaul region from Manali and offers some great views of
the Pir Panjal range. You will have lunch at Gondla and later
trek further to Chhatru. Reach Chhatru by evening.
Day 06: Chhatru - Batal
Today you will trek towards Batal. Batal is situated at the
foot of Kunzum pass, which provides the main approach to Spiti
from Lahaul. The panoramic view as viewed from the top of the
pass is enthralling and inspiring. On the way are the Bara
Shigri glaciers. Bara meaning big and Shigri meaning glacier
in Lahauli dialect. The view of the Shigri Stream emerging
from beneath a huge iridescent archway of solid ice is a never
to be forgotten sight. Arrive in Batal by evening.
Day 07: Batal - Kunzam Pass - Chandratal
Today in the morning after having breakfast you will leave
Batal. Then you will gear up to trek 10 km uphill to cross the
famous Kunzam Pass (4551 m). Kunzam provides chief access to
Lahaul valley by the great Kunzam range. The lofty Shigri
Glacier can be seen in all its grandeur. There is a temple
dedicated to Kali, known as Kunzam Devi. After visiting the
temple you will start trekking 12 km to Chandratal. A pleasant
4 hrs walk and the Chandratal will appear. Chandratal means
the Lake of Moon. On the banks of this enchanting lake there
is a vast meadow, which is carpeted with various kinds of wild
alpine flowers during spring season. In the evening arrive in
Chandratal.
Day 08: Chandratal
The whole day at leisure in Chandratal.
Day 09: Chandratal - Kunzam Pass - Manali
Today in the morning after having breakfast you will leave
Chandratal and start trekking again to return back to Kunzam
Pass. In the evening drive to Manali.
Day 10: Manali - Delhi
In the morning after having breakfast you will drive to Delhi.
Evening free at leisure.
Day 11: Delhi (Departure)
Around midnight flight to home destination.
