Anantagiri Hills

Anantagiri Hills is a breathtakingly beautiful hill station situated in the lush undulating ranges of the Eastern Ghats. This place is situated about 60 kms. away from Vishakhapatnam. It is a perfect place to get away from the hot summer months. Anantagiri is perched at an altitude where the panoramic vista unfolds stunning viewpoints. The Anantagiri Hills is full of picturesque coffee plantations, mango groves and waterfalls. The Eastern Ghats rail route on this stretch is one of the highest broad gauge tracks in the world.

Chamba
Chamba

Chamba is situated at a height of 996 meters above sea level on the southern banks of the Ravi river in Himachal Pradesh. Chamba is known for it's magnificent scenery. It touches the fringe of the Shivaliks and has three well-defined snowy mountain ranges of the Dauladhar or the outer Himalayas, the Pir Panjal or the mid Himalayas, and the Zanskar range or the inner Himalayas. Chamba is the ideal holiday retreat and famous hill station among various tourists and nature lovers. The best time to visit Chamba is between the month of April to October. The main tourist attractions in Chamba are the Lakshmi Narayan temple, Sikhara temple, Royal Palace, Chaurashi temple and Bhuri Singh Museum.  More....

Chikaldhara

Chikhaldara is located in Amaravati district of Vidarbha region in Maharashtra. It is the only hill station in the Vidarbha region. This place is named after Keechaka, who was killed by Bheema and thrown into the valley. Thus, this place came to be known as Keechakadara or Chikhaldara. Chikhaldara is situated at an altitude of 1,118 m and is the only coffee-growing area in Maharashtra. Chikhaldara is full of deep valleys, and these valleys are full of velvet mist and majestic trees. This place offers abundance of natural scenery, wildlife, view points, lakes and breathtaking waterfalls. The best time to visit Chikaldhara is from October to June. The main tourist attraction in Chikaldhara is the Melghat Tiger Project and Dhakana- Kolkaz National Park.

Coorg

Coorg is a picturesque, charming town situated at a height of over 1,525 m above sea level. Madikeri, also known as Mercara is the district headquarters and capital of the Coorg district in Karnataka. Coorg, originally known as Kodaimalenadu means the dense forest on steep hill. This small hill station is also known as the Scotland of India. Coorg is known for its picturesque tea and coffee estates, misty hills, lush green forest, mountain streams, orange groves and breathtaking views. The best time to visit Coorg is from October to April. This town offers plenty of tourist attractions like Madikeri Fort, Raja seat, Nagarhole National Park, Abbi Falls, Bhaga Mandala, Nisargadhama and Tala Kaveri. More....

Dalhousie

Dalhousie is a typical hill station in Himachal Pradesh. Its fin-roofed, half timbered houses spread over 13 square km. of well forested hills at the height from 1525 to 2378 metres and still retains much of the style of the British Raj. Local sunviews run to the village of Lakkar Mandi and the meadows of Khajjiar. The most important hiil in Dalhousie is the Portreyn, with the Sacred Heart Convent, Moyi tibba and Bakrota. At Lakkar Mandi, there is Kalatope wildlife sanctuary. In Sat Dhara (place of seven streams), the mica rich springs trickle from the hill side to Panjpula (Five Bridges).

Dhanaulti

Dhanaulti is situated on the Mussoorie - Chamba route in Uttaranchal, and is about 25 kms. from Mussoorie. Dhanaulti is situated amidst thick, virgin forests of deodar, rhododendron and oak and has a atmosphere of perfect peace and tranquility. The long wooded slopes, cool breeze, warm and hospitable people, lovely weather and fabulous view of snow covered mountains makes it an ideal retreat for a relaxed holiday. The main tourist attractions in Dhanaulti are Barehipani and Joranda Falls, Chanderi, Dashavatar Temple, Deogarh, Jain Temples, Matatila Dam, Pradhanpat Hill and Talbehat.

Dharamshala
Buddhist Monastery, Dharamshala

Dharamshala, also known as the Scotland of India, is one of the hill station which was established by the British between 1815 and 1847. This hill station is situated in the northern state of the Himachal Pradesh. Dharamshala offers great variations in altitudes, temperature and character, due to which it is a favourite destination among various tourists. It lies between 1250 and 1982 meters on a steep mountainside. Dharamshala is split into two parts. The lower part, known as Dharamshala is about 9 kms. away from the upper part, known as McLeodganj. It is surrounded by the pine, oak and deodar forests. The Namgyalma Stupa, Tibetan handicraft Centre, Central Cathedral, Namgyal Monastery, Kotwali Bazaar, Nechung Monastery and Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts are the main tourist attractions in Dharamshala.  More....

 
Horsley Hills

Horsley hills is one of the famous hill station in Andhra Pradesh. It is situated about 144 kms. from Tirupati. It is named after WD Horsley, who was the collector of Cuddapah district and chose this spot for his summer residence. Horsley Hills is situated at an altitude of 1265 m, which makes this place delightfully cool. The dense growth of various species of plants like Eucalyptus, Jacaranda, Allamanda and Gulmohar can be seen. As one proceeds towards the hills one comes across the trees of Reetha, Shikakai, Amla, Beedi, Bay leaves, Sandalwood, Red sanders, Mahogany and Bamboo. Bears, wild dogs, jungle fowls, Sambar and Panthers can be also seen in the forests. A 150-year-old Eucalyptus tree "Kalyani" is also an attraction of Horsley Hills. The air here is fresh and unadulterated, which gives perfect peace of mind and is a heavenly bliss to stay at this place.

 
Pachmarhi

Pachmarhi is the only hill station in the Madhya Pradesh. Pachmarhi is situated at an altitude of 1067 metres and a large plateau, ringed by hills on the evergreen Satpura range. Pachmarhi is the traveller's delight. It is characterized by rugged hills, forests, ravines and 12 spectacular waterfalls. The best season to visit Pachmarhi is from September to October and April to June. Handi Khoh is the most impressive ravine with a 100m high precipice and steep rides. The other tourist attractions in Pachmarhi are Apsara Vihar(Fairy Pool), Raja Prapat(Big Falls), Bee Falls, Mahadev caves, Pandava Caves, Jata Shankar and Rajendragiri.

 
Shillong

Shillong is a pleasant summer resort, surrounded by the rolling green hills, pine trees and waterfalls. Shillong is situated at 1496 m in Meghalaya. It is the capital of the state of Meghalaya. Shillong is located in the Khasi Hills, whereas the state consists of the Garo, Khasi and Jaintia Hills. Police bazaar is the centre of the town. The worth visiting places in Shillong are Ward Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Crinoline Waterfalls, Meghalaya State Museum, Bishop Falls, Beadon Falls, Umiam Lake and Shillong Peak.
