Day 1: Delhi
Around midnight arrival in
New
Delhi. The cosmopolitan city and capital Delhi is the main gateway for travellers. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day
2: Delhi - Bagdogra (by air) - Darjeeling
In the morning we drive to the airport for the flight to
Bagdogra. After the arrival in Bagdogra
we proceed north of the state through the coniferous forests and
terraced tea gardens to Darjeeling. Darjeeling (place of the
thunderbolt) has spectacular scenery. Due to its altitude of 2134 m
and soothing temperature in summers Darjeeling has become a famous
hill resort in India. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the
hotel in Darjeeling. In the evening enjoy the beautiful surroundings
at Darjeeling.

3: Darjeeling
Very early in the morning we drive to Tiger Hill (around 11 km) to enjoy the sunrise. Tiger Hill (2590 m) is the highest point in this area. There is a breathtaking view of the sunrise on the
Kanchenjunga mountains.
Mount Everest (8842 m) is also visible on a clear day. The moments of sunrise from Tiger Hill are described by most of the visitors as unforgettable. After viewing the Tiger Hill we
visit the Yiga Choling monastery, built in 1850. It has the 14ft. Maitriya
Buddha statue. After visiting monastery drive back to the hotel. After having breakfast we visit the institute of
Mountaineering where we get the detailed information about the
natural surrounding and the habitants of this area and Zoological
Park where you can see the rare Himalayan animals like the Snow leopard,
Tibetan Wolf, Himalayan Black Bear, Red Panda, Siberian Tiger etc.

4: Darjeeling - Pemayangtse (Pelling)
Today we leave the state of West Bengal and drive through the forests and tea gardens to Pemayangtse (The perfect Sublime Lotus) in
Sikkim. Sikkim is the second smallest state in India. Sikkim, in the East Himalayas is sandwiched between Nepal to its west and
Bhutan to its east. Sikkim
has so rich of flora, fauna and a diverse ethnic and cultural
population as no other state in India.

5: Pemayangtse (Pelling) - Yuksom
Today after having breakfast we visit the headquarter of the Nyingama sect in
Pemayangtse. Then we will drive further to
Kechopari Lake. Kechopari means the wishing lake. The water in this lake is placid and crystal clear. This lake is situated on the road to
Yuksom. After visiting the lake we drive to Yoksum, the trekking base of Sikkim. In the evening arrive in Yuksom. Yuksom was the first capital of Sikkim and it was here that the first Chogyal was consecrated by the three holy Lamas. The place where the ceremony take place in the year 1642 can still be seen there.

6: Yuksom - Bakhim
Today you will start trekking from Yuksom to Bakhim for about 12 km.

7: Bakhim - Dzongri
Today you will start trekking from Bakhim to
Dzongri for about 10 km.
Day
8: Dzongri - Thangshing
Today you will start trekking from Dzongri to Thangshing for about 8
km.
Day
9: Thangshing - Chemathang (Samiti Lake)
Today you will start trekking from Thangshing to
Chemathang (Samiti
Lake).
Day
10: Chemathang (Samiti Lake) - Goeche La - Chemathang
In the early morning you will start trekking to
Goeche La and then
trek back to Chemathang. The total distance will be covered for 15 km.
Day
11: Chemathang - Thangshing
Today you will start trekking from Chemathang (Samiti Lake) to Thangshing.
Day
12: Thangshing - Dzongri
Today you will start trekking from Thangshing to
Dzongri.
Day 13: Dzongri - Tshoka
Today you will start trekking from Dzongri to
Tshoka.
Day 14: Tshoka - Yuksom
Today you will start trekking from Tshoka to
Yuksom and end you trekking at Yuksom.
Day 15:
Yuksom - Gangtok
In the morning drive from Yuksom to Gangtok In the way visit
Tashiding
Monastery.
Day 16:
Gangtok
Today we have full day sightseeing in Gangtok. In Gangtok,
we will visit the Rumtek Monastery, Tibetology Institute, Enchey Monastery and
Bazaar. After having sightseeing in Gangtok, drive back to
Martam. The
Enchey
monastery is believed to be 200
years old. The monks of this monastery belong to the
Mahayana
Buddhism. The unique
Research Institute of Tibetology is
situated on a hilltop which was established in 1958 to promote research on Tibet and Mahayana Buddhism. Here we will see the biggest collection of
Tibetan scripts and an excellent collection of rare Tankhas, bronze and cult objects.
Day 17:
Gangtok - Kalimpong
Today we drive from Gangtok to Kalimpong. Kalimpong, a remote hill station has been a meeting point of the once "three closed lands" on the trade route to
Tibet. The beautiful mountain scenery and the abundance of flowers have made Kalimpong
an attractive resort. In the afternoon visit
Doorpin Monastery and Bazaar.
Day 18:
Kalimpong - Bagdogra - Delhi (by air)
In the morning drive from Kalimpong to Bagdogra airport to catch flight
to Delhi. In the afternoon arrive in Delhi.
