Day 01: Kathmandu (Arrival)
Around midnight arrival in Kathmandu. The cosmopolitan city
and the capital Kathmandu is the main gateway for travellers
to Nepal. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu
In the morning you will start your sightseeing by visiting
Durbar Square. Durbar Square is the spiritual heart of
Kathmandu. The old royal palace at the centre of the city was
surrounded by temples and other important buildings. You will
also visit the temple of living goddess Kumari. After visiting
Durbar Square you will visit Swayambhunath. Swayambhunath
Stupa is famous for the eyes of Buddha which seem to observing
the world from all 4 directions. After Swayambhunath you will
visit Bodnath. Bodnath is the largest Stupa of Nepal. Around
the octagonal base of Stupa there are 108 images of Buddha
where prayer ceremonies of Buddhist Lamas are taking place
since over 2000 years. Now you will proceed to the temple city
of Pashupatinath which is Nepal’s most important Hindu pilgrim
site on the banks of the Bagmati river. The temple of
Pashupatinath is dedicated to god Shiva.
Day 03: Kathmandu - Charaundi - Kurintar
After having breakfast you will drive to Charaundi, the
starting point of the river rafting and start 2 days rafting
on the Trisuli river. This river is one of the most famous
areas in Nepal to go for white water rafting. In the evening
you will cover the first section, involving a series of rapids
and after a journey of three hours you will reach a beautiful
beach in a bend of the river. At the end of the river rafting
you will have a camp on the bank of the river.
Day 04: Kurintar - Pokhara
After having breakfast you will continue your white water
rafting down the river. The navigation will take about 7 to 8
hours. You will find series of rapids together with long
sections of quiet water, where you will have the time to enjoy
viewing the beautiful cliffs and scattered villages along the
banks. In the afternoon you will end your rafting at Munglin
and drive to Pokhara. On arrival at Pokhara transfer to the
Hotel.
Day 05: Pokhara - Kalikasthan
After having breakfast drive to Kahun Khola and then have a 10
minute walk through the paddy fields. After crossing the
Biyapur river you will trek the Kandani Hill. From this point,
one can view the the spectacular view of the Pokhara Valley,
Mt. Annapurna, Lamjung Himal, and the Mt. Machhapuchhre very
clearly. After having lunch you will trek for about 2 hrs. and
reach Kalikasthan camp. From the camp all the above mountains
can be seen very clearly.
Day 06: Kalikasthan - Shaklung
In the early morning you will view the sunrise from there. The
sunrise is very magnificent as the pink day of the rising sun
paints the majestic Himalayan peaks from faint pink to amber
then to burning gold. After breakfast, you will trek through
beautiful Gurung villages with the most colourful views of
Machhapuchhre, different peaks of Annapurna, Lamjung, Manasalu
etc. After lunch the trail leads uphill through the forest for
about three and half-hours and you will reach Libiyani in the
evening.
Day 07: Shaklung - Begnas Lake
After breakfast, you will ascend through the beautiful forest
to Bhatti village. After having lunch at Bhatti village, you
will trek towards to Begnas Tal or Begnas Lake (3000 feet) for
an overnight camp. The Begnas lake is the biggest lake in the
Pokhara valley with beautiful surrounding. You can have a walk
here and see the life in the villages of Himalayas.
Day 08: Begnas Lake - Pokhara
Today you will have a trekking till Begnas Bazaar from where
you will drive to Pokhara. In the evening arrive in Pokhara.
Day 09: Pokhara - Chitwan National Park
Today you will drive to the Royal Chitwan National park. This
National Park is situated near the Indian Nepal border. The
area of the National Park covers around 950 square km. The
Chitwan National park is the natural habitat of the Tiger,
great one-horned Indian rhinoceros, leopard, gaur, sloth and
wild bear, sambar. We have our overnight stay in a comfortable
Lodge in the National Park.
Day 10: Chitwan National Park
In the early morning you will have a jungle safari in the
Chitwan National Park penetrating through lush grasslands to
view wildlife. In the afternoon you will take a ride in Canoe
on the Narayani river where there are very good chances of
viewing the gharial crocodiles as well as the mugger
crocodiles, fresh water dolphins, Otters and varieties of
water birds. If you are lucky, you may see the elusive Royal
Bengal Tiger.
Day 11: Chitwan National Park - Kathmandu
In the morning drive to Kathmandu.
Day 12: Kathmandu (Departure)
Transfer to the airport to connect the flight for onwards
journey.
