Day 01: Flight to Nepal (Kathmandu)
Around Midnight arrival in Nepal. Upon arrival, you will be
transferred to your Hotel. In the afternoon you will enjoy the
first impression of Kathmandu. Kathmandu Valley is the
cultural and political heart of the country. The city enjoyed
its most glorious time under the reign of Mallas in the 16th
and 17th century.
Day 02: Kathmandu - Pokhara
In the morning after having breakfast, drive to Pokhara.
Pokhara is the gateway to Himalaya. The Pokhara valley is the
second biggest valley in the central hilly region of Nepal
after Kathmandu. The town of Pokhara itself, at an altitude of
just 900 m on the Seti Khola river is overshadowed by the
fishtail mountain (6,999 m), one of the most beautiful
mountain of the world.
Day 03: Pokhara Excursion: Begnas Lake
In the early morning you will drive to the north of Pokhara to
the view point and enjoy the panorama view of the Annapurna
and Machapuchare mountains which are only 30 km away from us.
After the breakfast in Pokhara drive further 15 km to Begnas
lake and have a Boat ride on the lake. The Begnas lake is the
biggest lake in the Pokhara valley with beautiful surrounding.
Here you can have a walk and see the life in the villages of
Himalayas.
Day 04: Pokhara - Chitwan National Park
Today you will drive to the Royal Chitwan National park. This
National Park is situated near the Indian Nepal border. The
area of the National Park covers around 950 square km. The
Chitwan National park is the natural habitat of the Tiger,
great one-horned Indian rhinoceros, leopard, gaur, sloth and
wild bear, sambar. Overnight stay in a comfortable Lodge in
the National Park.
Day 05: Chitwan National Park - Daman
Today you will leave Chitwan National Park and drive to the
city Daman. Daman is situated around 2400 m. and gives us a
fantastic view of the Himalayan range. If the weather is clear
we enjoy the panorama from Dhulgiri in extreme west to the
Mount Everest in extreme east.
Day 06: Daman - Kathmandu
Today you will leave Daman and drive to Kathmandu. The
afternoon is at leisure. You will have enough time today to
discover the coloured bazaar of Kathmandu.
Day 07: Kathmandu Excursion: Swayambhunath, Bodhnath
In the morning you will start your sightseeing by visiting
Durbar Square. Durbar Square is the spiritual heart of
Kathmandu. The old royal palace at the centre of the city was
surrounded by temples and other important buildings. You will
also visit the temple of living goddess Kumari. After visiting
Durbar Square you will visit Swayambhunath. Swayambhunath
Stupa is famous for the eyes of Buddha which seem to observing
the world from all 4 directions. After Swayambhunath you will
visit Bodnath. Bodnath is the largest Stupa of Nepal. Around
the octagonal base of Stupa there are 108 images of Buddha
where prayer ceremonies of Buddhist Lamas are taking place
since over 2000 years. Now you will proceed to the temple city
of Pashupatinath which is Nepal’s most important Hindu pilgrim
site on the banks of the Bagmati river. The temple of
Pashupatinath is dedicated to god Shiva.
Day 08: Kathmandu Excursion: Patan, Bhaktapur
Today you will drive to Patan. Patan was the second largest
town in the valley but it has been absorbed into Kathmandu.
Patan was previously known as Lalitpur (the beautiful city).
After Patan you will proceed to Bhaktapur, the third biggest
city of the valley. Bhaktapur has preserved its medieval
character better than Patan. Here, you will visit the golden
door, the Palace of 55 windows (15th century) and Pagoda
Nyatapola (18th century).
Day 09: Kathmandu - Delhi (by air)
Today you will drive to Dakshinkali. On the way you will pass
through the villages and small localities. The temple of
Dakshinkali is a place of pilgrimage for Hindus where animals
sacrifices for the goddess Kali are still performed. In the
afternoon transfer to the Airport for the flight to Delhi.
After arrival in New Delhi transfer to the airport for the
flight to home destination.
Day 10: Delhi (Departure)
Around midnight flight to home destination.
