Day 01: Delhi (Arrival)
Around Midnight arrive in Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be met
by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
Today in the morning you will have sightseeing in Old Delhi.
Sightseeing in Old Delhi includes Rajghat, Jama Masjid,
Humayun Tomb and Qutub Minar. Before you proceed to the hotel
you will drive through New Delhi where you will visit the
India Gate, Government Buildings and Embassies.
Day 03: Delhi - Corbett National Park
Today morning after breakfast you will drive to the Corbett
National Park. It is the India's first National Park, and
designated a Project Tiger Reserve in the year 1973. In 1957,
it was renamed as Corbett National Park in honour of the late
Jim Corbett, the legendary photographer and author. About 580
species of resident and migratory birds have been recorded in
and around the reserve. Great pied hornbill, Pallas's fishing
eagle, Grey-headed fishing eagle, Red-thighed Falconet are
some of the endangered birds found in Corbett. Other birds
found in this region are Tawny Fish Owl, Great Hornbill,
Scaly-bellied Woodpecker, Red-breasted Parakeet, Himalayan
Swiftlet, Stork-billed Kingfisher and Himalayan Rubythroat.
This park has Tigers, Leopards, Sambars, Chital, Hog Deer,
Porcupine, Wild Pigs and Fox.
Day 04: Corbett National Park
In the early morning you will have a safari in the Corbett
National Park. You will view various animals like Tigers,
Leopards, Sambars, Chital, Hog Deer, Porcupine, Wild Pigs and
Fox. On the route stop for birding. Here you will view Great
slaty woodpecker, Great hornbill, Puff-throated babbler,
White-rumped shama, Pallas fish eagle etc.
Day 05: Corbett National Park
In the morning drive to Corbett National Park.
Day 06: Corbett National Park - Agra (about 295 kms)
In the morning drive to Agra. In the evening arrive in Agra
and drive to the hotel.
Day 07: Agra - Bharatpur
In the morning visit Agra fort and Taj Mahal. Later drive to
Bharatpur bird sanctuary. Bharatpur has its fame due to
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is
finest bird sanctuary in Asia. Bharatpur was earlier a duck
shooting resort of the Maharaja. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary with
its 375 species is one of the best Water-bird sanctuaries in
the world. In winter there are many migratory birds from the
northern hemisphere including the rare Siberian Crane.
Day 08: Bharatpur
Morning and evening visit the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary for
Birding.
Day 09: Bharatpur - Ranthambore
In the morning visit Bharatpur bird sanctuary. Later drive to
Ranthambore.
Day 10: Ranthambore
Morning and evening excursion to the Ranthambore National
Park.
Day 11: Ranthambore - Jaipur
In the morning drive to Jaipur.
Day 12: Jaipur
In the morning after breakfast you will visit the ancient
capital of Amber, laying 11 km away from Jaipur. Amber was the
ancient capital of Kachhawaha dynasty for 6 centuries before
it was moved to newly created Jaipur. You will ascend to the
Palace Fortress on the back of an Elephant. Enroute to Amber
you will visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), built in
1799 AD. It contains 953 small casements with each having its
own balcony. In the afternoon you will visit the City Palace
that is still the formal residence of the royal family, built
in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Later
visit the Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory, and the largest
of Jai Singh's five remarkable observatories. Later, you will
have a walk through the colourful Bazaars of Jaipur. In the
evening you will drive through the new city of Jaipur and
visit "Laxmi Narayan Mandir", a Hindu temple made out of white
marble.
Day 13: Jaipur - Ahmedabad (by air)
In the morning transfer to the airport for the flight to
Ahmedabad. In the afternoon arrive in Ahmedabad. Rest of the
day at leisure.
Day 14: Ahmedabad - Zainabad
In the morning after having breakfast drive to Zainabad. In
the evening enjoy birding at Nawa Talao where large flocks of
flamingos, demmossile cranes, pelicans and other birds are
seen in large numbers.
Day 15: Zainabad
In the morning and afternoon enjoy the safaris in the Little
Rann of Kutch. An ancient seabed turned by geological forces
into saline desert plains, the Rann has grassy patches that
offer good bird-watching. Crested and Sykes larks, Oriental
skylark, bimaculated lark, greater short-toed lark, singing
and Indian bushlarks, ashy-crowned and black-crowned
sparrow-larks, chestnut-bellied and spotted sandgrouse, Indian
courser, quails, are some of the birds that would be seen
here. At the sunset, it is possible to watch marsh, Montagu
and pallid harriers, aquila eagles, falcons and buzzards
heading for their roosting sites. Besides various birds
various animals can also be seen in the Rann which are the
wild ass, nilgai, chinkara, gazelle, white-footed desert,
Indian foxes, the wolf, jungle cat (occasionally also desert
cat), pale and long-eared hedgehogs and hare.
Day 16: Zainabad
In the morning and afternoon enjoy the safaris in the Little
Rann of Kutch.
Day 17: Zainabad - Ahmedabad
In the morning drive to Bajana Creek, a birders paradise on
the edge of the Rann. Later drive to Ahmedabad.
Day 18: Ahmedabad - Bangalore (by air) - Mysore
In the morning transfer to the airport for the flight to
Bangalore. On arrival, you will be met by our representative
and proceed for Mysore.
Day 19: Mysore - Ranganathittu - Mysore
Today you will drive to visit Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary.
This sanctuary is around 20 km from Mysore. This bird
sanctuary is situated on the banks of the Kaveri River,
includes a group of six islets as well. This bird sanctuary
attained the status of a bird sanctuary in the year 1940. The
large number of birds at the sanctuary has attracted large
number of tourists. Some species of birds that are found here
are Spoonbills, Open bill Storks, Darters, White Ibis, Little
Cormorants, Egret, Heron, Partridge, River Tern, Stone
Plougher, Snake Birds, etc. We can also have ride along the
river and the islets, to witness the trees full of beautiful
birds of myriad varieties. After visiting this sanctuary you
will drive back to the hotel in Mysore.
Day 20: Mysore - Ranganathittu - Mysore
Today you will drive to visit Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary.
After visiting this sanctuary you will drive back to the hotel
in Mysore.
Day 21: Mysore - Bangalore - Delhi (by air)
In the morning drive to Banglore. Later transfer to airport
for the flight to Delhi. In the evening arrive in Delhi.
Day 22: Delhi (Departure)
Around midnight transfer to the airport for the flight to home
destination.
