Day 01: Flight to India (Chennai)
Around midnight arrival in Chennai. Upon arrival, you will be
met by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02: Chennai: Excursion to Mahabalipuram (about 64
km)
The whole day is at leisure. Today you will drive through the
coastal route to Mahabalipuram. In Mahabalipuram you will
visit some of the 14 cave temples and 9 monolithic rathas
(temple chariots). In the afternoon you will visit the St.
George Fort.
Day 03: Chennai - Bangalore
In the morning you will drive to Bangalore. You will visit the
Bull temple and famous Gowda Fort, which was built by Tipu
Sultan. You will also visit the Vidhan Sabha and downtown
commercial centre.
Day 04: Bangalore - Nagarhole National Park
In the morning you will leave Bangalore to visit Nagarhole
National Park. Its dense deciduous forests are the habitat of
the Tiger, Leopard, Gaur, Elephant, Sambar, Chital, Spotted
Deer, Wild Boar, Langur and about 250 species of birds
including the magnificent Malabar Pied Hornbill and the Great
Black Woodpecker. You will enjoy guided safari of the park.
Evening free for leisure.
Day 05: Nagarhole National Park - B R Hills Wildlife
Sanctuary
In the morning again you will have safari in the Nagarhole
National Park and then you will drive along the forest stretch
to B R Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.
Day 06: B R Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - Bandipur
National Park
In the morning again you will have a stroll through the sylvan
surroundings of BR Hills then, you will drive further to
Bandipur National Park. Bandipur has a sizeable population of
wildlife - The Royal Bengal Tiger, Elephant, Spotted Deer and
Sambar, Gaur and Flying Squirrel, four horned Antelope,
Nilgiri Langur and Sloth Bear. Amongst the reserve's most
prominent animals are its 1900-odd elephants.
Day 07: Bandipur National Park - Ooty
In the morning you will have safari in the Bandipur National
Park and then you will drive to Ooty (Udhagammandulam).
Evening free for leisure to enjoy the lakeside or the gardens.
Day 08: Ooty - Munnar
In the morning you will visit the famous and most beautiful
Botanical Garden of Ooty. You will drive further to visit
Dodabetta peak, the highest in the Nilgiris. In the afternoon
you will drive to Munnar. Today you will explore the
surroundings on your own.
Day 09: Munnar - Eravikulam National Park
In the morning you will drive to Eravikulam National Park. The
Eravikulam National Park is situated in the Devikulam Taluk of
the Idukki District in Kerala. This park was established to
protect the Nilgiri Tahr also known as the Nilgiri Ibex. It
was declared as a sanctuary in 1975 and it was declared as a
National park in 1978. Besides the Nilgiri Tahr other
important fauna that you can see in this area are Elephant,
Leopard, Tiger, Malabar Civet, Sambar, Barking Deer, Nilgai
and Langur.
Day 10: Eravikulam National Park - Periyar National
Park
In the morning you will visit the park for wildlife and bird
watching and then you will drive further to visit Periyar
National Park. You will start your day by having a Boat ride
on the lake of Periyar. The lake of Periyar is the central
point of the famous Periyar National Park. After the boat ride
you will drive through the Park and observe the activities of
Elephant, Bison, Sambar, Wild Oxen, Wild Boar and Spotted Deer
which are common here.
Day 11: Periyar National Park - Kumarakom
In the morning you will visit Periyar National Park and in the
afternoon drive to Kumarakom. In Kumarakom you will enjoy the
Boat ride trip through the tropical vegetation on the
backwaters.
Day 12: Kumarakom
Whole day at leisure.
Day 13: Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary
In the morning you will visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary.
Earlier an old rubber plantation, Kumarakom was developed into
a bird sanctuary on the banks of Vemband Lake spreading over
14 acres of land. Kumarakom is home to numerous species of
birds, such as Darters, Bitterns, Teal, Waterfowl, Cuckoo,
Wild Ducks, Brahminy Kites, Marsh Harries, Teals and Herons
and Siberian storks. You will visit the sanctuary by having a
boat ride.
Day 14: Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary - Cochin
In the morning you will drive to Kochi (Cochin).
Day 15: Cochin (Departure)
Around midnight flight to home destination.
