Day 01: Delhi (Arrival)
Around midnight arrival in New Delhi. Upon arrival, you will
be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi - Kathmandu (by air)
In the morning drive to the airport for the flight to
Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative
and transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon you will enjoy
the first impression of Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu
In the morning you will start your sightseeing by visiting
Durbar Square. You will also visit the temple of living
goddess Kumari. After visiting Durbar square you will visit
Swayambhunath Stupa. After visiting Swayambhunath stupa you
will visit Bodhnath.
Day 04: Kathmandu
Today you will drive to Patan. After visiting Patan you will
proceed to Bhaktapur, the third biggest city of the valley.
Bhaktapur has preserved it's medieval character better than
Patan. Here you will visit the golden Door, the Palace of 55
windows (15th century) and Pagoda Nyatapola (18th century).
Day 05: Kathmandu - Biratnagar - Darjeeling (by air)
In the morning you will drive from Kathmandu to Biratnagar.
Enroute you will come across Kakarvitta which is situated at
the border of Nepal and India. After the arrival in Biratnagar
you will drive to the airport for the flight to Darjeeling.
Arrive in Darjeeling in the evening. If the weather is clear
you can enjoy the impressive and unforgettable views of
Himalayas.
Day 06: Darjeeling
Early in the morning you will drive to Tiger Hill (around 11
km) to enjoy the sunrise. Tiger hill (2590 m) is the highest
point in this area. There is a breathtaking view of the
sunrise on the Kanchenjunga. In the afternoon you will explore
Darjeeling and its surroundings. You will visit the village
Lablong and the institute of mountaineering where you will get
the detailed information about the natural surrounding and the
habitants of this area.
Day 07: Darjeeling - Pemayangtse (about 80 km)
Today you will leave the state of West Bengal and drive
through the forests and tea gardens and proceed to your
today’s destination Pemayangtse (The perfect Sublime Lotus) in
Sikkim. In the afternoon you will reach Pemayangtse. Evening
free for leisure.
Day 08: Pemayangtse - Gangtok
Today after having breakfast you will visit the headquarter of
the Nyingama sect in Pemayangtse. Afterwards you will drive to
Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Upon arrival, you will be
transferred to the hotel in Gangtok. In the evening have a
walk through the bazaar of Gangtok.
Day 09: Gangtok
Today you will drive to the Enchey monastery. This monastery
is believed to be 200 years old. After visiting the monastery
you will visit the institute of cottage industries. It is the
main attraction as a wide range of local handicrafts in Lepcha
style are produced here. In the evening you will visit the
unique Research Institute of Tibetology on a hilltop which was
established in 1958 to promote research on Tibet and Mahayana
Buddhism.
Day 10: Gangtok
Today you will visit the orchid sanctuary which is laying
south of the institute. After the visit of sanctuary you will
have walk through the area of old palace and visit the
monastery Gylwa. The main attraction of your excursion remains
today the monastery of Rumtek. Rumtek monastery was built as a
true copy of a Tibetan monastery in recent years.
Day 11: Gangtok - Bagdogra - Delhi (by air)
Early in the morning after having breakfast drive to Bagdogra
airport for the flight from Bagdogra to Delhi.
Day 12: Delhi (Departure)
Around midnight flight to home destination.
