Agartala is the state capital of Tripura. Udaipur (now
Radhakishorepur, 55 kms from Agartala), was the ancient
capital of Agartala. Bengali, Kakbarak and Manipuri are

people in Agartala. The Kak-Barak, means the language of men (kak
means words and barak means men). The best time to visit

Attractions in Agartala
The Ujjayanta Palace, Jagannath Temple, Unkoti Tirtha, Neer
Mahal, Tripura Sundari Temple, Sipahijala are the various
tourist attractions in Agartala. Tripura Sundari Temple is
also known as Matabari and located in the ancient capital,
Udaipur on the top of hillock Dhanisagar in the middle of the
16th century. This temple is dedicated to the Goddess Kali.
Agartala also has a famous temple dedicated to 14 deities –
Chowda Devta. The 14 deities are represented only by their
