Day 01: Delhi (Arrival)
Around midnight arrival in Delhi. Upon arrival you will be met
by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi - Udaipur (by train)
This morning is at leisure. Afternoon sightseeing in Old
Delhi. You will have a Rickshaw Ride parallel to the Red Fort
through the old city and famous Silk Road and Silver Bazaar.
Sightseeing of Old Delhi includes Rajghat, Jama Masjid,
Humayun Tomb and Qutub Minar. Before you will proceed to the
hotel you will drive through New Delhi where you will visit
the India Gate, Government Buildings and Embassies. In the
evening transfer to railway station for the train to Udaipur.
Day 03: Udaipur
In the morning arrive in Udaipur and transfer to the Hotel.
Later you will start your sightseeing with the visit of
Sahelion-Ki-Bari. This Garden of the Maids of Honour is well
laid out with extensive lawns and shady walks. After the visit
of Garden of Maids you will visit a Museum of folk art. After
a break you will visit the City Palace, the biggest Palace in
India, where 4 generations of Maharajas added their
contribution. The museum of the palace includes the beautiful
peacock mosaic and miniature wall paintings of Indian
mythology. Today you will have an opportunity to visit a
traditional painting school and see the famous miniature
paintings done. In the evening you will have a Boat ride on
the lake Pichola.
Day 04: Udaipur - Ranakpur - Jodhpur (about 260 kms / 6
hours)
In the morning after having breakfast drive to Jodhpur and
enroute visit Ranakpur. Ranakpur is known for its superbly
carved marble Jain Temples. After visiting Ranakpur proceed
further for Jodhpur.
Day 05: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer (by train)
Today you will visit the Mehrangarh Fort (majestic fort).
Mehrangarh Fort was built on a steep hill and is among the
best in India with exquisitely latticed windows in residential
apartments within. You will also visit the Jaswant Thada, a
royal cenotaph built in white marble. After the sightseeing
you will have a walk through the Bazaars of Jodhpur. In the
late evening, transfer to the railway station to board an
overnight train to Jaisalmer.
Day 06: Jaisalmer - Jaipur (by train)
In the early morning arrive in Jaisalmer and transfer to the
hotel. Later you will have full day sightseeing of Jaisalmer.
There you will have a walk through the old city and visit the
carved havellis, fort, Jain temple. In the afternoon you will
drive around 40 km. away from Jaisalmer to Sam dunes where you
will enjoy the sunset and later drive to the railway station
for the train to Jaipur.
Day 07: Jaipur
In the morning arrive in Jaipur and transfer to the hotel.
After having breakfast you will drive to Amber which is about
11 km from Jaipur. Amber was the ancient capital of Kachhawaha
dynasty for 6 centuries before it was moved to newly created
Jaipur. Here you will ascend to the Palace Fortress on the
back of an Elephant. Enroute to Amber you will visit the Hawa
Mahal (Palace of the Winds), built in 1799 AD, it contains 953
small casements with each having its own balcony. In the
afternoon you will visit the City Palace which is still the
formal residence of the royal family, built in a blend of the
Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. In the museum of the city
palace we visit the private collection of the Jaipur
Maharajas. Then you will have a walk through the colourful
Bazaar of Jaipur and visit a factory to see the famous block
printing work being done since centuries in Jaipur. Later
visit Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory, the largest of Jai
Singh's five remarkable observatories. In the evening you will
drive through the new city of Jaipur and visit “Laxmi Narayan
Mandir”, a Hindu temple made out of white marble.
Day 08: Jaipur - Ranthambore (by train)
In the afternoon drive to the railway station for the train to
Ranthambore.
Day 09: Ranthambore
In the morning arrive in Ranthambore. After a break and
refreshment in the hotel in Ranthambore you will visit the
Ranthambore National Park.
Day 10: Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (about 310
kms / 6-7 hours)
Today you will drive to Agra. Enroute you will make a stop and
visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was once an imperial capital
frozen in time, constructed by Akbar the Great in the 16th
century. This wonderful city constructed by red sand stones
was abandoned as abruptly as it had been built. It has been
generally stated that it was due to failing in the water
supply. Late evening, arrival in Agra.
Day 11: Agra - Delhi (about 200 kms / 4 hours)
Today, you will start your sightseeing by a visit to the Agra
Fort, built by three of the greatest Mughal emperors. After
the visit of Agra Fort you will proceed to visit the most
beautiful monument of India, the Taj Mahal, an enduring
monument to love, with a continually fulfilling beauty. It was
built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1631-52, as a
tomb and memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal (Jewel of
the Palace), who died at the age of 39 giving birth to her
14th child. After visiting Taj Mahal drive to Delhi.
Day 12: Delhi (Departure)
Around midnight flight to home destination.
