Indian subcontinent is enriched with a magnificent range of wildlife. The wildlife sanctuaries help us to witness the most exquisite wildlife existing in the world. Bandhavgarh National Park, Kanha National Park, Panna National Park and Keoladeo Ghana National Park or Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary are the main national parks that will be covered during the Panna Wildlife Tour. Panna National Park lies in that region which is famous for diamonds and is also home to some of the best wildlife species in India and is one of the best Tiger Reserves in the country.

Day 01: Flight to India (New Delhi)

Around midnight arrival in
New Delhi. The cosmopolitan city and capital New Delhi is the main gateway for the travellers to India. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel.

Day 02: New Delhi
The whole day is at leisure.

Day 03: New Delhi - Bharatpur
In the morning we will drive from New Delhi to
Bharatpur to visit the Bird Sanctuary, one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world. The marshes here are home to over 360 species of birds including the Siberian cranes. Bharatpur is popular for its bird sanctuary -The Keoladeo Ghana National Park - finest in Asia. Every year the Siberian cranes come to spend the winter in the warmer climate of Bharatpur. This sanctuary has more than 400 species of water birds and is also the best spot to watch the exotic migratory birds from Afghanistan, Central Asia, Tibet as well as Siberian cranes from the Arctic.

Day 04: Bharatpur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
In the early morning we will visit the
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. After visiting the Bird Sanctuary we will proceed to Agra. Enroute we make a stop and visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was once an imperial capital frozen in time, constructed by Akbar the Great in the 16th century. This wonderful city constructed by red sand stones was abandoned as abruptly as it had been built. It has been generally stated that it was due to failing in the water supply. In the evening we will arrive in Agra.

Day 05: Agra - Gwalior (about 120 km)
We start today our sightseeing by a visit to the
Agra Fort, built by three of the greatest Mughal emperors. The construction of this massive structure began in 1565 under Akbar's reign and continued till the time of his grandson's reign, Shah Jahan who built the impressive imperial quarters and mosque. After the visit of Agra Fort we proceed to visit the most beautiful monument of India, the Taj Mahal, an enduring monument to love, with a continually fulfilling beauty. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1631-52, as a tomb and memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal (Jewel of the Palace), who died at the age of 39 giving birth to her 14th child. We spend enough time at Taj Mahal to take this impressive memory home. After visiting the Taj Mahal we drive further to Gwalior. Gwalior's strategic position between North and South India has made it's Fort an important possession and it was captured by several ruling houses. Some left almost as soon as they came, while others stayed on to build and beautify the citadel.

Day 06: Gwalior - Khajuraho (about 330 km)
In the morning we visit the Gwalior fort. After visiting the Gwalior fort we drive further to Khajuraho. On the way to Khajuraho we visit Orchha. Orchha's grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time, a rich legacy to the ages. In this medieval city, the hand of time has rested lightly and the palaces and temples built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th centuries retain much of their pristine perfection. After the visit of Orchha we proceed for
Khajuraho. Arrival in Khajuraho in the late evening.

Day 07: Khajuraho - Panna National Park
In the morning after having our breakfast we will drive to visit Panna National Park. This park is situated in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh at a distance of around 57 km from Khajuraho in the Vindhyan tracts of Madhya Pradesh. The region, which is famous for its diamonds, is also home to some of the best wildlife species in India and is one of the better Tiger Reserves in the country. It covers an area of around 540 square km. This National Park holds some of the most dramatic forest patches and ruggedly breathtaking scenery of peninsular India. Panna National Park is known worldwide for its Wild Cats, Tigers as well as Deers, Antelopes, Leopards, Wild Dog, Wolf, Hyena, Sloth bear, Sambars, Nilgai, Chinkara, Chital, Chowsingha etc. We will have a jungle safari to watch the activities of these animals.

Day 08: Panna - Bandhavgarh National Park
Today we will drive further to visit
Bandhavgarh National Park. Bandhavgarh National Park covers an area of 105 square km. It is situated in the Vindhyan Mountain tracts of Madhya Pradesh. The animals found in this area are Tiger, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Gaur, Sambars, Chital, Nilgai, Chinkara, Wild Pigs. It is the same place where white tigers were first found.

Day 09: Bandhavgarh National Park - Kanha National Park
In the early morning we leave the Bandhavgarh National Park and proceed to visit the
Kanha National Park. Kanha National Park is perhaps the largest wildlife sanctuary in Asia. It covers an area of over 1,945 sq km and was established in the year 1974. This park is a home of animals like Tiger, Porcupines, Jackals, Sloth Bear, Jungle Cat, Macaque, Dhole (wild dogs), Bison and a wide variety of birds. If you are lucky you will get to see the rare hardground Barasingha, which is found only in Kanha.

Day 10: Kanha National Park - Khajuraho
In the morning we leave the Kanha National Park and drive to
Khajuraho. Khajuraho was the capital of the Chandela dynasty. The Chandela Kings claimed descent from the moon. The temples of Khajuraho are among the finest examples of temple craftsmanship in the whole of India.

Day 11: Khajuraho - New Delhi (by air)
Today we visit the temple complex of
Eastern Group and Western Group to see the most beautiful temples in India. Most famous among them is the Laxmana Temple, which is dedicated to god Vishnu. The presence of erotic sculptures in the Temples at Khajuraho is one of the expressions among others of the celebration of all human activities displaying different aspects of Hinduism.
